An old Dutch word for the moon.
Two Dutch watch enthusiasts in Stockholm, and a simple idea: vintage proportions, modern technology, fair prices.
MAEN was founded in 2017 by Sebastiaan Cortjaens and Jules van Helvoort. The name is the old Dutch word for “moon”.
The watches borrow their proportions from the past and their engineering from now: integrated bracelets, stone dials, jump hours, ultra-thin cases. They are sold directly, which is how MAEN keeps its prices fair.
Manhattan, Hudson, Brooklyn, Skymaster, Grand Tonneau: each collection is named for a place or a machine, and each is built around the small details.
